POTD 10/8/12: Tristan Thompson on Benjamin Eze

Earlier today, I penned a couple paragraphs about Tristan Thompson and Kyrie Irving.  In those few paragraphs I cited CBS.com’s dunk-o-meter, on which Tristan Thompson finished in a three-way tie for 19th last season.  That’s a pretty impressive finish for a rookie who shared time with veteran Cavalier bigs… and if Tristan’s performance in last night’s exhibition against Montepaschi Siena is any indication of things to come, I’d say he’s poised for a top-10 finish in his sophomore campaign.

Yesterday evening, Thomas dunked three times (that I know of).  He was able to repeatedly capitalize on the play-making prowess of Kyrie Irving, who will continue to put him in position to finish at the rim.  See exhibits A…

B, and C.  For Poster of the Day, I went with A… but C would’ve been a fine option as well.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

8/10 Starbury Nasty Faces

Throwback Poster of the Day: On the day he got posterized by Vladimir Radmanovic, Amare Stoudemire concluded that defense simply ain’t worth the potential embarrassment.
