November 2nd, 2011: Euroleague, CBA Recap

CBA

Guangdong 83, Zhejiang Guangsha 80: Former Clipper/Wizard James Singleton posted 19 points and 16 boards to lead his Southern Tigers past Wilson Chandler’s Lions.  Ill Will also had a double-double with 16/12, but he missed the potential game-tying three-pointer…

Euroleague

Caja Laboral 81, Olympiacos 79: Washington Wizards big man Kevin Seraphin made seven of his eight shots and scored 15 points to help his team get a narrow victory.  Golden State Warrior Reggie Williams had four points on 2-2 in eight minutes.  It seems that Williams started the game, so I’m assuming he must’ve gotten hurt.  Seraphin beasted down the stretch, scoring three consecutive buckets in the fourth.

CSKA Moscow 89, KK Zagreb 47: I’ve never heard of KK Zagreb, nor have I heard of a single player on their roster.  They shot 29.7% from the floor and lost to powerhouse CSKA Moscow by… a lot.  Andrei Kirilenko and Nenad Krstic combined for 29 points and 12 boards.

Montepaschi Siena 103, GS Medical Park 77: Former Rocket, Raptor, and Hornet David Andersen scored 13 points and grabbed 6 boards for the victors.  Former Wizard Darius Songaila went 3-8 with 3 turnovers for the losers.  What the hell kind of basketball team is called GS Medical Park?

Union Olimpija 70, Asseco Prokom 62: San Antonio Spur Danny Green was this game’s leading scorer with 23 points.  Green knocked down five of seven triples, but didn’t really contribute in any other category (although he did contribute big to a victory).  His counterpart, Cleveland Cavalier Alonzo Gee, went 0-7 from two, but 3-5 from three.  He scored 13 points and grabbed 7 boards.
