Tonight, 10:30 ET: Grizzlies @ Clippers. Or Not.

Zach Randolph will have to wait a while to try and show the Clippers that it was a mistake to trade him for peanuts.  Mark Jackson will also have to wait to show us whether or not he’s capable of coaching an NBA team.  Had the Lakers gone on the road to visit the Warriors, it would’ve been his first game as a head coach–and you know what that means–he wouldn’t have been unable to call the game for ESPN (praise the basketball gods)!  The first half of the ESPN double-header?  That was supposed to be the Heat and Knicks facing off at Madison Square.  Who’s jersey was Spike Lee going to wear?  Now we’ll never know.  In Washington, young Wizard Jordan Crawford would begin his quest to become greater than former Wizard Michael Jordan.  Will he succeed?  Who the hell knows when we’ll find out.

A total of 13 games were supposed to be played today, along with 3 more last night.  David Stern has already shot down the possibility of an 82-game schedule, and while we will undoubtedly see each one of these match ups eventually, these particular games are all gone for good.

Looks like I’ll have to create my own Clipps/Grizz game.

Grizzlies down two… seat belts fastened… five seconds… four seconds… three seconds… Zach Randolph for the game…………..

Clippers win!!!!!

Please, end this lockout.  The CBA is cool, and Euroleague is alright… but goddamn, man… there’s nothin’ like good ol’ NBA basketball.
