Wilson Chandler Scores 36 Points In CBA Game (Preseason)

This morning, Wilson Chandler scored 19 of Zhejiang Guangsha’s 34 first-half points and finished up with 36 points in 35 minutes as his team lost by 3 (72-75).  Chandler also grabbed six rebounds and shot well from both two-point and three-point range.  Although the translation may have come through a little shaky, it seems that Chandler said something along the lines of “I need to not only score the ball, but find a way to get everyone else involved.”  To this point, Wilson’s 36 is the highest total posted by any of the three big names (Chandler, Smith, Martin) who signed in the CBA this offseason.

Wilson was coming off of a good game.  He scored 28 points and grabbed 7 boards in a narrow victory yesterday morning.  It appears that he posterized a fool in one of these two games.

In other CBA news, Kenyon Martin scored 18 points and collected 14 boards yesterday, but his Xinjiang Flying Tigers lost by 8.  Former LA Clipper and Washington Wizard James Singleton also played yesterday, and so did Stephon Marbury, but I can’t find their numbers.  The coverage of the preseason is awful over there.  The CBA’s website still had last season’s standings on their front page until yesterday night, and I still can’t find any box scores for these games.  They’re still yet to release the regular season schedule, too.  Once the regular season finally begins (I’ve read that it should be some time in mid-November), information should be easier to come by.

One would think the CBA would step their game up for the biggest season in their history.  I mean, sh!t, at least get some highlights, a preseason schedule, and some box scores on your website.  Provide an English version, too.
