Hardwood Classic: VC Scores 39, Makes Game-Winning Dunk In Toronto (11/21/08)

Most of you probably remember this one–it was an instant classic from about three years ago.  I’ve never been the world’s number one Vince Carter fan, but this is still one of the greatest (and one of my personal favorite) regular season games that I’ve ever seen.  A 129-127 overtime thriller with one hell of a storyline.  This sh!t was a man vs a nation, and the man won.  Unfortunately, the video I have here only covers the highlights of the fourth quarter and overtime.  Oh well, that’s when the game got really crazy anyway.

I kind of forgot about the barrage of insane three-point shots that set the stage for Carter’s famous alley-oop.  Chris Bosh hits a stepback triple with 10 seconds left in OT?  I remember thinking you’ve got to be sh!tting me! CB was actually the game’s leading scorer with 42… I forgot about that, too.  What I will never, ever, ever forget, though, is VC’s f@cking indescribable swag after the reverse alley-oop finish.  Dude styled on an entire country; sent the entire Air Canada Center home to cry in their beer (that’s a Bill Walton line).  Absolutely EPIC.
