Poster of the Day 1/31/11: Gortat on Pondexter

Sorry I’m late.  Anyway, Quincy Pondexter, the Polish Hammer has been dropped directly on top of your dome…

BOOM!  That was the most authoratative of Marcin’s nine buckets last night in what was a thoroughly dominant performace.  His nine field goals came on just ten attempts in a 25-point, 11-rebound double-double.  I was just thinking… they call Shaq “The Big (insert latest team-related thing here)”, so why can’t we call Marcin “The Big Pole”?  He’s big, and no matter who he plays for he’ll always be a Pole.  It makes perfect sense, it allows him to rep his country, and I personally think it sounds hilarious.  From now on I will be referring to Marcin Gortat as The Big Pole.  You can take it or leave it.
