Games To Watch, Week 15 (1/31-2/6)

Monday, January 31st: Bucks @ Clippers, 10:30 ET, FSWI FSPT

Could Andrew Bogut be the next Timofey Mozgov?  He’s big enough, white enough, and foreign enough.  I would say he doesn’t qualify because he doesn’t suck enough, but Mozgov dominated last night.  Bogut likes to block shots–including dunks–so it could go down.  Be there.

Tuesday, February 1st: Celtics @ Kings, 10:00 ET, CSNE CSCA

The Celtics are coming off a big win over the Lakers.  You know what that means, cue Admiral Ackbar… it’s a trap!  The Kings suck, but they’ve just defeated the Hornets and Lakers on consecutive nights.  DeMarcus Cousins is playing like the guy we all knew he could be if he ever matures.  With him, KG, and Kendrick Perkins battling in the paint, I expect a lot of fake thug type sh!t to go down.

Wednesday, February 2nd: Bulls @ Clippers, 10:30 ET, CSCH FSPT

Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose.  And depending on the score Brian Scalabrine.  Dur.

Thursday, February 3rd: Heat @ Magic, 8:00 ET, TNT

Dwight Howard’s been playing like a beast unleashed lately, but will his teammates be smart enough to pass on the quick threes and get him the damn ball?  I hope so, Magic games tend to be more enjoyable that way.  The Heat certainly don’t have much to throw at him defensively.  Could we get a Big Cat sighting in this one?  He’s still on Miami’s roster, isn’t he?  I think he is.  Big Cat is Jamaal Magloire, of course, the master of the blindfolded 360 dunk.

Friday, February 4th: Clippers @ Hawks, 7:30 ET, FSPT SS

I traded Al Horford for Blake Griffin in my fantasy league a while back… can’t honestly say that I regret that decision.  I got Antawn Jamison out of it too.  Somehow, my team still blows.  What the hell does that have to do with this game, you ask?  Absolutely nothing, but like most criminals I feel the need to brag about the robbery.

Saturday, February 5th: Bulls @ Warriors, 10:30 ET, WGN CSBA

This one features two of my favorite guards in the league, D-Rose and The Moped.  As great as Rose is and as much as I enjoy watching him play, if I were to compose a list of my favorite players to watch and rank it, I may have to give Monta the edge.

Sunday, February 6th: Clippers @ Heat, Noon ET, FSPT SUN

The schedule makers really dropped the ball here.  They’ve got Orlando and Boston on ABC at 2:30, but didn’t make it a double header by adding this game.  Why not?  There’s no other nationally televised game on at noon.  Oh well, that’s fine with me, I prefer Ralph Lawler’s commentary anyway.
