Andrew Bynum Answers TV Reporter In Mumbly Fashion, Then Bolts

I love it when players keep it real in post-game interviews.  Hearing a bunch of recycled, predictable, G-rated answers to mostly-stupid questions gets tiresome, and it’s refreshing to find out how somebody actually feels from time to time.  That being said, there is a way to answer questions in a truthful, frank, or even angry manner without disrespecting the television correspondent.  Someone should probably inform Andrew Bynum…

Some will argue that Bynum was simply pissed off after a blowout loss and that they can understand that.  I’m not criticizing him for being pissed.  I totally understand why he’s pissed, and if I’m a Lakers fan I’m glad that he’s pissed.  The mumbling throughout the interview and the way he bolted at the end, though… no need to disrespect the reporter like that.  It’s not like this was a press conference and she was fishing for a certain response.  She, like Andrew Bynum, was just doing her job.

And yes, you heard correctly: the Lakers will win on Friday, but Kobe’s presence “don’t matter.”  See, that’s an interesting answer!  Next time, Drew, just be sure to stick around and allow the reporter to say “thank you.”
