I believe it was way back in January when Martell Webster’s fade transformed into the early stages of whatever you want to call that style on the left. His hair looked to me like one of those furry caterpillars you’ll find on the side of a tree in the summer time, but I can’t honestly claim to have any idea what he was actually going for. A modified tribute to Coolio, maybe? Only Martell knows for sure, because, for some reason, no one ever asked him about it (at least not to my knowledge). Anyway, I suppose Martell finally became tired of drawing attention to his head (and his 40% shooting). He debuted a new, more subdued hairdo on Sunday evening. As you can see, it’s similar to the old one, but flattened.

I’d say it’s time to scrap the whole mohawk premise, Martell. It’s simply not working out. In a related story, Kevin Love shaved his beard and now looks like a teenager.
