POTD 12/26/11: Larry Sanders On Bismack Biyombo

Bismack Biyombo didn’t block any shots in the first six minutes of his NBA career, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t show any promise.  You know what they say: getting dunked on is part of being a shot blocker…

Bismack looked like he was born to protect the rim on this play.  Watch carefully as he arrives on the scene way too late to do anything about the dunk, but tries anyway, like any true shot blocker would.  Most importantly, notice how quickly picks himself up off the floor and inbounds the ball as if he hadn’t just been humiliated.  That’s some prime-Mutombo recovery time right there.  Thanks to Larry Sanders, we learned a great deal about Bismack last night.  Clearly he’s a man with the dignity for the job.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

7/10 Starbury Nasty Faces
