Games To Watch, Week 23 (3/28-4/3)

Monday, March 28th: Sixers @ Bulls, 8:00 ET, NBATV

The Sixers should be very motivated coming off a loss to an inferior Kings squad, and the Bulls are rolling.  I expect Philly to try to make a statement, and I expect Derrick Rose to do what he does.  This should be a good one.

Tuesday, March 29th: Heat @ Cavaliers, 7:00 ET, NBATV

Why not?  The other three choices are weak anyway.

Wednesday, March 30th: Warriors @ Grizzlies, 8:00 ET, CSBA

The Grizzlies are surging towards the playoffs, and the Warriors are sure to make an already exciting team play at an even more thrilling pace.  It’s too bad the Dubs have officially been eliminated from the playoffs… this thing could’ve been not only entertaining, but meaningful.

Thursday, March 31st: Mavericks @ Lakers, 10:30 ET, TNT

Because Duncan is hurt and Boston is playing like crap.  I don’t expect the Mavs to hang with LA–I’ve lost faith in Dallas–but it should be less painful than that BOS @ SAS game could be… and it’s not like the Mavs can’t compete (or win), I’m just not counting on it.

Friday, April 1st: Cavaliers @ Wizards, 7:00 ET, FSOH CSW

APRIL FOOLS!  Anyway, the Bucks and Pacers will be competing for an opportunity to be abused in a first-round playoff series… but I’m still not even close to tempted to watch that over Blake Griffin.  I mean, really, neither of those teams belong in the postseason any more than the Clippers do anyway.  So my real suggestion is to watch the Clippers play Phoenix at 10:00.

Saturday, April 2nd: Thunder @ Clippers, 10:30 ET, NBATV

The Bucks will once again be playing for their four-game postseason lives, but I still don’t care.  Double up on some Blake Griffin… after all, only a few more games and he’s gone from our televisions until next October.  Man, that’s a depressing thought.

Sunday, April 3rd: Nuggets @ Lakers, 3:30 ET, ABC

I’m excited about this one.  If the Lakers are still streaking at this point I think the Nuggets could be the squad to put the run to an end.  They’ve got the firepower as well as a pair of PGs who will have Derek Fisher’s head on a swivel.  Oh, heads up: the Knicks play the Cavs at Madison Square at 6:00.  If they lose this one… oh boy.  I’ll be watching that score.
