2011 All-Star Voting, Fourth Returns

Derrick Rose has passed Rajon Rondo for the second guard spot in the Eastern Conference, hallelujah!  Also, Amare Stoudemire has moved in front of KG for the East’s second forward spot.  From NBA.com…

This is the final balloting update.  The results will be announced on TNT on the 27th of this month.  Hopefully things stay exactly the way they are, as I think the voters have done a pretty good job to this point (aside from center in the West, which isn’t really the fault of the voters, the NBA screwed that up).  Rose over Rondo is a no-brainer, and I’m glad people have seemingly begun to figure out.  I believe Amare is definitely the correct choice to start next to LeBron, especially now that KG has missed some time due to injury.

For those of you who are too lazy to sort through that cluster of results, here’s what the starting lineups would look like if the voting ended today.

EAST

G: Derrick Rose
G: Dwyane Wade
F: LeBron James
F: Amare Stoudemire
C: Dwight Howard

WEST

G: Chris Paul
G: Kobe Bryant
F: Kevin Durant
F: Carmelo Anthony
C: Yao Ming (David Stern will choose an injury replacement)

Dirk’s getting robbed, and Pau Gasol certainly has an arguement, but I don’t have any major beefs with these lineups.
