Serge Ibaka’s primary purpose on the basketball court is to throw a monkey wrench into other peoples’ posters, but that doesn’t mean Air Congo can’t switch it up from time to time. As indicated by his 15 PPG average so far this season, Ibaka is quickly becoming a polished offensive player. Last night, Serge elected to show off his ups as he attacked the rack and dropped the hammer on top of old man Stackhouse. Ian Eagle cleverly dubbed the play a “foreign facial.”
For his first POTD of ’12/13 Serge owes partial credit to one of my people from InsideHoops, who astutely pointed out that this dunk was kind of Stro[mile Swift]-like. That observation pretty much sealed the deal.
