POTD 11/16/12: Jason Maxiell on Big Baby

To see Jason Maxiell coming at you — all six feet, seven inches, and 260 pounds of him — I imagine it would be something like looking down the barrel of a fired cannon.  You know an extremely large and powerful projectile is headed your way, and that it’s coming so fast that you’ll be very lucky to avoid it, and that there’s a grave possibility that you’re about to face certain death.

Unfortunately for Glen Davis, he found himself in a situation last night where he had no choice but to purposely move into the path of Maxiell, the flying cannonball.  It was basically suicide, but a man can’t be given an uncontested dunk with a minute to go in a close game…

Honorable mentions to Tayshaun Prince and Greg Monroe.  This was basically a tossup between the three Pistons, but I had to pick one so I went with the backboard-rattling force of Jason Maxiell (although Detroit lost, he also had the clutch factor working in his favor).

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

8/10 Starbury Nasty Faces
