Danny Green makes a lot of money. According to ESPN, the Spurs will pay their starting shooting guard $3.5 million this season, mostly to make three-point baskets. A pretty sweet gig indeed, but that doesn’t mean it comes completely free of drawbacks. For example, in Friday’s game against the Kings, Green found himself the last line of defense between a charging DeMarcus Cousins and San Antonio’s basket. At that moment, it essentially became part of his job description to jump in front of a speeding truck.

The most honorable of mentions to Toko Shengelia, Brandan Wright, and especially Trevor Booker, who probably threw down the hardest dunk of the season thus far. For safety’s sake, I hope the Wizards have called in a maintenance crew to inspect the integrity of that basket. There’s no way Booker didn’t loosen a few screws.
