POTD 11/1/12: Tim Duncan on Serge Ibaka

LeBron James played on Tuesday.  Blake Griffin played on Wednesday.  Dwight Howard played on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Just about everyone in the NBA has played at least once, yet it’s Tim Duncan — the boring 36-year-old who couldn’t get up in the first place — taking his second consecutive Poster of the Day.  Having done this in his first two games of the season, Duncan becomes the first player ever to establish himself as a multiple POTD winner prior to anyone else having won at least once.  As if that isn’t awesome enough, he made it a streak by dunking over last season’s leader in shot blocking (again).

And with that, Tim Duncan carves out his niche in slam dunking history.  I find it very fitting that he’s completely unaware, as he certainly wouldn’t give a crap.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

7.5/10 Starbury Nasty Faces
