JR has probably become known more for his unlimited range than his otherworldly athleticism. However, he apparently left his jumper in Denver (0-5 from three last night) when the Nuggets headed out to play Minnesota, so he had to resort to flying high to put the ball in the basket…
It’s not quite as aesthetically pleasing as the one over Gary Neal (R.I.P.), but straight up off the vert over a seven footer? Harder than it looks. Normally I’d take this opportunity to take cheap shots at Darko, but he’s had an impressive season… so I think I’ll let him off the hook. Honorable mention to JR’s teammate Renaldo Balkman, who has appeared in two straight games after sitting through 21 in a row. I wish George Karl could find a few minutes for the guy, he always produces when he’s actually utilized.
