POTD 10/24/12: Blake Griffin on Robert Sacre

I’m not gonna be too tough on Robert Sacre.  Why?  Because it’s not easy to be Robert Sacre.  The guy is out there fighting to forge his niche in the NBA, but he’s playing behind the league’s premier player at his position.  So, if he’s going to see the light of day this season, he knows he’s got to do the dirty work… the stuff that many proven players don’t even consider doing in the preseason… stuff like contesting Blake Griffin slam dunks, even though he knows he faces certain humiliation.  For Robert Sacre, fleeing the scene was not an option… so he did what he had to do: get posterized.

Honorable mention to Ryan Hollins.  And Ryan Hollins again.  And Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan.  I know, not a poster… but c’mon, that was sick.

Oh, and I almost forgot: honorable mention to Andre Drummond.  The rest of the league’s highlights kind of got lost during that Clippers game.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

8/10 Starbury Nasty Faces
