POTD 4/28/12: Serge Ibaka on Dirk Nowitzki

Serge Ibaka came up huge in Oklahoma City’s come-from-behind victory in their playoff opener.  He scored a career-high 22 points, including a buzzer-beating three-pointer as well as the following jam over Dirk Nowitzki, the man who annihilated him a year ago.  The dunk and ensuing free throw gave the Thunder a one-point lead with just under a minute to go, making it a crucial bucket.  However, it probably never should’ve been allowed.  I’d tell you to notice the moving screen by Kendrick Perkins, but it’s so insanely blatant that you’ll have to be blind not to notice it.

You’ll have to click here for the replay angles as ESPN won’t let me embed their videos.  An average dunk–maybe not quite as nice as this two-hander from Vince Carter–but I’m giving it the nod because it has that clutch factor.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

7.5/10 Starbury Nasty Faces
