When the Nuggets and Clippers meet conventional wisdom suggets that Blake Griffin and Kenneth Faried will eventually cross paths somewhere above the rim. Last night, the Nuggets and Clippers met, and Griffin and Faried did indeed cross paths in the stratosphere–twice, actually. On the first occasion, Faried chased Griffin down on a one-on-none fast break and prevented the monster dunk with a pure hustle foul. Blake clunked both free throws and was sure to go up quicker the next time.
The results were favorable. Griffin not only put Faried on his poster, but scored a key deuce that tied the game and racked up his league-leading sixth POTD of the season.
Honorable mentions to Taj Gibson, Kawhi Leonard, and especially Rudy Gay. That was a sick f@cking dunk, but Jason Smith got there far, far too late.
