Games To Watch, Week 18 (4/16-4/22)

Monday, April 16th: Thunder @ Clippers, 10:30 ET, NBATV: The obvious choice is Nuggets @ Rockets, but neither of those teams have played all that well lately… so I’m rolling with the CP/KD rematch!  You may recall that it came down to the final possession when the two faced off just last Wednesday.  If Kevin, Russell & friends want revenge they’re gonna have to get it tonight at Staples or wait for a possible playoff match up.

Tuesday, April 17th: Celtics @ Knicks, 8:00 ET, TNT: Things always seem to get dramatic when the Cs take the court at Madison Square.  From KG’s bow to Nate Rob’s face plant, Knicks/Celtics match ups have simply been a blast in recent years.

Wednesday, April 18th: Clippers @ Nuggets, 9:00 ET, NBALP: Blake Griffin and Kenneth Faried star in Above The Square, a high-flying film directed by Chris Paul and Andre Miller.  Co-stars include DeAndre Jordan and Javale McGee.

Thursday, April 19th: Bulls @ Heat, 8:00 ET, TNT: Can LeBron James avenge his missed free throw?  He must be hoping like hell he doesn’t have to take another one of those, but knowing Bron’s luck he’ll get stuck in the exact same situation.

Friday, April 20th: Lakers @ Spurs, 9:30 ET, ESPN: These guys will have to see each other twice this week, but if you can only watch one of the two games you ought to roll with this one.  Surprisingly, this particular Friday night only has a few interesting match ups to offer, and Kobe will probably be back.

Saturday, April 21st: Nuggets @ Suns, 5:30 ET, ESPN: Enjoy a little running and gunning in an afternoon affair that may or may not come with playoff implications.  If Phoenix wins their games on Monday and Wednesday it certainly will, but one of those games is against OKC, so… yeah.

Sunday, April 22nd: Thunder @ Lakers, 3:30 ET, ABC: One of everyone’s main concerns about OKC is their frontcourt.  The Lakers boast the finest PF/C combo in professional basketball, so you can go ahead and consider this one a test.  I suppose it’s a test for the Lakers too.  Can they stay disciplined and continuously hammer the ball into the paint, or will they go away from their greatest strength?
