Monday, April 9th: Clippers @ Grizzlies, 8:00 ET, NBALP: The Clippers have been worth the price of admission lately. In their last three games Blake Griffin has thrown down two of the finest dunks you’ll ever see, and Eric Bledsoe has been providing an entertaining surge of energy off the bench. The Clipps started to click a little bit about two weeks ago, and they’ve since won eight of nine games. The Grizzlies are playing well themselves, coming off of decisive wins over the Heat and the Mavericks.
Tuesday, April 10th: Celtics @ Heat, 7:00 ET, ESPN: As you know, the Celtics have been playing excellent ball lately. As a matter of fact, they recently b!tch smacked Miami in Boston. If they can do it twice, well, that would be pretty impressive. That being said, I have my doubts. The Heat have lost just three homes games all year.
Wednesday, April 11th: Knicks @ Bucks, 8:00 ET, ESPN: Twice I’ve hyped up one of Milwaukee’s “big” games, and twice they’ve laid an egg the size of a Volkswagon Beetle. For some reason I’m electing to give them one more chance. Don’t let me down, Drew Gooden.
Thursday, April 12th: Grizzlies @ Spurs, 8:30 ET, NBALP: Less than a year ago the Grizzlies were responsible for San Antonio’s demise, but can they knock them off the top of the Western Conference on Thursday? I doubt it, but that little storyline seems fit for an ESPN promo.
Friday, April 13th: Nets @ Sixers, 7:00 ET, NBALP: Can the Sixers capitalize on a couple of match ups with the Nets and maintain a playoff seed? I don’t know and I don’t care. You should watch this game because Gerald Green has helped New Jersey maintain a near-.500 (11-12) record since joining the team during the All-Star break. Open your eyes to the revelation.
Saturday, April 14th: Suns @ Spurs, 9:00 ET, ESPN: The time is now (and now is the Boris Diaw bowl!) for the Phoenix Suns. They’re playing a lot better than the 8th-place Nuggets and I want to see them in the playoffs, but they’ve got a real tough schedule the rest of the way. They’re going to have to win a game like this if they want to take part in the postseason. I’ll be confused as to who I’m rooting for because I also want the Spurs to secure home-court advantage throughout.
Sunday, April 15th: Heat @ Knicks, 1:00 ET, ABC: People love to get overexcited about the Knicks. They’re trending up again, so this is the game everyone’s gonna be talking about. Tuning in will be required if you care to be a social NBA fan this Sunday.
