POTD 3/15/12: Kevin Durant on Al Harrington

Kevin Durant has become the Nuggets’ worst nightmare.  In less than five seasons he’s already lit his division rivals up for a new career high on three different occasions.  He gave them 37 in his rookie campaign, 51 about a month ago, and 41 in the playoffs (twice).  On top of that, his Thunder have eliminated the Nuggets from the playoffs in a brief five-game series and taken five of the last six regular season match ups.  A nasty poster dunk over Al Harrington?  The tip of the iceberg.

Well… look at the bright side, Denver.  At least you only have to see him one more time this season.  That is, of course, if you can avoid finishing 8th.  Then after that you get to see him four times a year for the foreseeable future.  I guess there really is no bright side.

Honorable mention to Markieff Morris, who smashed one on Blake Griffin before going on to hit a clutch triple in his mug.  Also, Joakim Noah on Joel Anthony for 6.5 faces from Wednesday.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:
