Solomon Jones Has A Pretty Epic Tattoo On His Back

NBA players from Florida seem to possess even more civic pride than your average NBA player–and that’s saying something.  Tributes to hometowns are definitely extremely popular amongst inked-up ball players from all over the globe, but I’m not sure that any state’s image appears on a higher percentage of its NBA representatives than the State of Florida’s does.

To my knowledge, there are three players who have tattoos of Florida (in addition to Solomon Jones).  First and foremost, there’s Amare Stoudemire, who proudly wears the state’s outline on his arm.  Then there’s Marquis Daniels and Udonis Haslem, who both sport maps on their backs.

Of all these four dudes’ tatts, I must say… I like Solo’s piece the best.  Udonis Haslem loses by default because his Florida looks like it got smushed, and then shot a few times.  Amare’s it cool, but it’s pretty small, and Marquis Daniels… well… his doesn’t come with palm trees, or a giant alligator.

Official –Swag-O-Meter– Rating:

4/5

I had to deduct a ‘fro ’cause he spelled “boi” with an “I.”  That strikes me as something a 14-year-old girl would do.  I do like the whole “Flawda” thing, though.  May as well incorporate that southern drawl.  After all, it is a tribute to the State of Florida.
