Ron Artest Displays Ron-Artest-Like Tendencies Against The Suns

Ron Artest’s numbers from LA’s 111-99 victory over the Phoenix Suns: 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists on 1-4 from the floor with 3 steals, a block, and 2 turnovers.  Honestly?  For present-day Ron Artest, that’s not half bad.  At least he created a few turnovers, blocked a shot, and refrained from attempting any three-pointers.  Based on the box score, one would think he was slightly less self-destructive than he is in the average game.  However, when your blocked shot and 1 of your 2 rebounds end up transitioning into the following one-on-two break, did you really make a good play?  I’ll let you, the reader, be the judge of that…

And what the video doesn’t show you?  Artest’s underhanded cross-court flip pass to no one in particular.  That happened a little earlier in the third quarter on a botched post-up attempt.  Speaking of botched post-up attempts, how ’bout Fisher getting an opportunity in the post last night?  LOL.  Kobe, man… I don’t know how many shots you’re taking this year, but don’t be letting anyone criticize you over it.
