When a point guard gets posterized you can usually assume that it happened one of two ways: he either tried to take a charge, or he never even saw it coming. Larry Sanders on Brandon Knight is an exception to the rule, though. Knight was there in time, but taking a charge wasn’t an option as Sanders had caught the ball just a few feet from the basket. So… Knight decided to go for the 5th shot block of his young NBA career. He didn’t succeed–not even close–but it was a solid effort. When you’re a rookie you’ve got to do sh!t like that.
A couple more years and Knight won’t even rotate on that play, let alone jump. Honorable mentions to Serge Ibaka and Andre Iguodala. All three dunks were pretty equal… I just thought Larry’s looked the best.
