What we have here, ladies and gentlemen, is a confrontation at the rim. Not just any confrontation at the rim, though. A confrontation at the rim that pitted two of last year’s Slam Dunk Contest participants against each other. There would be no gimmicky bullsh!t to be seen here, though; just two premier athletes, dunkers, and shot blocks going head to head–one trying to forcefully cram the ball through the hoop, and the other trying to prevent him from doing so. Given what the title has already told you about this post, I shouldn’t need to explain what happened.
That right there is what Marv Albert would enthusiastically refer to as a facial. You see, all facials are posters, but not all posters are facials. This dunk just so happens to be both, and I love it. Tuesday’s POTD was never posted, but it was Semih Erden on Ekpe Udoh. It was worth just six faces.
Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:
8/10 Starbury Nasty Faces
Throwback Poster of the Day: The commentator wasn’t even able to say “Kwame strong to the rack” without chuckling…
Guess I can’t really blame him.
