Andrei Kirilenko’s New Ink

I’ll give him this: it’s not nearly as bad as some of the haircuts he’s sported over the course of his decade-long NBA career.  I’ll also give him this: the placement is cool, and the artwork is excellent… and it’s a damn good thing, because dragons/mythical warriors/fantasy stuff/whatever it is + bad tattoo artist = serious disaster.  One of the two usually results in something corny and regrettable, but both?  I imagine that you’d want to murk yourself upon sobering up.  So, considering that AK could’ve ended up running around the court with somethin’ that looked like Puff poking out of his jersey, I don’t think he FAILed too hard.  Final note: based on Andrei Kirilenko’s various…uh…looks, I’ve determined that what’s cool in Russia simply is not what’s cool in the USA.  Therefore, I will give him a generous, unculturally-biased rating on the –Swag-O-Meter–…

Official –Swag-O-Meter– Rating:

3/5

…I know many of my readers will argue that I am waaay overrating the swag of a man who, to be perfectly honest, has never really displayed anything in the department of swag (aside from having a wife who lets him nail other women), but think about it: who are you to judge the content of another man’s tattoo?  I mean, the work is high quality, and what he wants inked on his back is his own business.  Had he come with something like RJ’s shoulder piece?  I’d have given him a -7.

Oh, by they way, Andrei; I’ve got a suggestion for your next one: an AK-47.  Do it!
