Poster of the Day 4/17/11: STAT on JO

I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of people wondering how the hell Nene didn’t win seeing as he dunked on four different heads.  Well, as awesome as Nene’s dunking exhibition was, I think the best individual slam of the night was Amare’s on Jermaine O’Neal…

That’s a pretty goddamn nasty driving power slam.  He took it to the paint straight beast-mode and then slammed on KG and (mostly) JO with authority.  None of Nene’s dunks had all the pieces like Amare’s did.  His slam over Perkins had all the contact, but it didn’t go down clean.  The reverse on Ibaka was nice, but it wasn’t as beastly as STAT’s.  I liked how he banged one off of Collison’s cranium, but that clearly isn’t the winner.  So, Nene was the dunker of the day, but Amare gets the dunk of the day–well, Poster of the Day.  Shannon Brown may have an arguement for dunk of the day

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:
