I’ve been doing the poster of the day for the past three seasons now, and over the course of these three seasons I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many nasty facials in one night as I did yesterday. I’m going to list them all (some with no video, I couldn’t find them all on Youtube): Udonis Haslem on DJ Mbenga, Al Harrington on Chris Kaman, Bill Walker on Hilton Armstrong, Sonny Weems on Theo Ratliff, Sonny Weems on Theo Ratliff again, Corey Maggette on Solomon Jones, Timofey Mozgov on Javale McGee, Ray Allen on Kyle Korver, Taj Gibson on Big Baby, KG on Taj Gibson… I think that’s all of them. NBA.com could compose a daily top 10 consisting of nothing but posterizations (which they won’t do because neither Kobe nor LeBron would be in it, and that’s not an option).
Any of those ten candidates would make a fine winner, but I feel like Wilson Chandler’s baseline reverse on Javale McGee is a step above the rest. This one has a high degree of difficulty aspect and it was right on top on the big, athletic shot blocker…
