Poster of the Day 1/16/11: Christian Eyenga on Pau Gasol

Kobe shows you why he’s first team all-defense…

…leaving the sloth-like Pau Gasol in an awfully difficult position.  If Pau wasn’t so damn slow, oh man, we’d be looking at a perfect 10.  Pau tried to get there, he just can’t move fast enough.  Eyenga is quick as hell… I’m almost as impressed by the first step on this play as I am by the finish.  As I detailed in my Lakers/Cavs recap, this was one of those dunks that had a much bigger impact than the two points that it put on the scoreboard.  LA was making a comeback (notice that it’s a one-point game before he slams it), and Eyenga came through with this much-needed show-stopper.  The fans went nuts, the Cavs’ energy was boosted, and the game was over.

Dunk rating on the Starbury Nastiness Scale:

9/10 Starbury Nasty Faces.

Throwback Poster of the Day: John Salmons scored a season-high 33 points, and I didn’t even give him a mention in the recap post.  Sorry John, you can have the throwback poster…
