Games To Watch, Week 17 (2/14-2/20)

Monday, February 14th: Blazers @ Timberwolves, 8:00 ET, CSNW FSNO

For those of you who have no special plans on this Valentine’s Night (Don’t feel bad, I’m in the same the captain of your boat, and look how f@ckin’ cool I am!), don’t spend it being depressed.  Treat yourself to a battle of the All-Star vs the Snub.  Kevin Love’s gaudy numbers earned him a spot in Sunday’s game, while LaMarcus Aldridge’s massive contributions to an injury-ridden yet winning team were overlooked.

Tuesday, February 15th: Sixers @ Grizzlies, 8:00 ET, CSP SS

Shockingly, this should actually be a good game.  The Sixers have proven their legit-ness to me with 13 wins in their last 20 outings.  Jrue Holiday, one of the league’s better young PGs, will matchup with Mike Conley, one of the league’s highest paid young PGs.

Wednesday, February 16th: Clippers @ Timberwolves, 8:00 ET, FSPT FSNO

Yeah, they’re playing like crap lately, but I’ve gotta squeeze a Clipper game in here somewhere.  Blake Griffin is still worth the price of admission and then some.  Baron Davis has been excellent lately too… it’s been nice to see shades of the guy from Golden State.

Thursday, February 17th: Spurs @ Bulls, 8:00 ET, TNT

This is the final game of the Spurs’ Rodeo Road Trip.  Some teams have been known to lay an egg in the last game of a long trip, but the Spurs are disciplined veterans… I think they’ll show up to play the Bulls.  D-Rose and Tony Parker are two of the league’s best PGs when it comes to getting into the paint and scoring the basketball, but they have very different styles.  Rose is a freakish jumper with amazing strength, and Tony P is just a clever little French bastard.

Friday, February 18th: Celebrity All-Star Game, 7:00 ET, ESPN

OMGZ JUSTIN BIEBERZ IZ PLAYING!!!!!!!!111

Saturday, February 19th: Slam Dunk Contest, ~10:00 ET, TNT

The whole All-Star Saturday Night deal starts at 8:30.  There is no exact start time for the only part that I even give a little bit of a sh!t about, but I figure it’ll begin around 10.  If you’re super psyched to watch Blake Griffin win and you don’t want to miss a second of it, then you may want to tune in a little earlier.

Sunday, February 20th: East @ West, 8:00 ET, TNT

BLAKESHOW 4 MVP!
