Games To Watch, Week 14 (1/24-1/30)

Monday, January 24th: Spurs @ Warriors, 10:30 ET, FSSW CSBA

Warriors games at Oracle are exciting 99 percent of the time.  Yeah, they’re overmatched by the Spurs, but they have won 8 of their last 10 home games.  I can’t stand Tony Parker or Manu Flopobili, so hopefully the league’s most explosive backcourt will eat their lunch.  DeJuan Blair’s on my fantasy team… he should be able to gobble up stats like Pac Man gobbles up dots against Golden State’s weak frontcourt.  I guess I’ve just got a lot of personal interest in this one.  Wizards @ Knicks could be fun to watch.  John Wall and Nick Young will be runnin’ and gunnin’.  The only matchup of two good teams is OKC @ New Orleans… I’ll pass, the Hornets and their grind it out style bore me to death.  Oh, keep an eye on the Cavs @ Nets game.  That could be a battle.

Tuesday, January 25th: Clippers @ Mavericks, 8:30 ET, FSPT FSSW

From now on when the Clippers play they are the game to watch.  No exceptions.

Wednesday, January 26th: Clippers @ Rockets, 8:30 ET, FSPT FSH

See above.  I wish Yao was playing… you just know Griffin would have a little somethin’ somethin’ for him.  Hopefully Luis Scola will be stupid enough to try to take some charges.

Thursday, January 27th: Heat @ Knicks, 8:00 ET, TNT

I’ve come away disappointed by the last two Heat/Knicks games, but I still say you can’t go wrong with LeBron and Amare.  Throw in D-Wade, Chris Bosh, Wilson Chandler, and Raymond Felton… even if the game blows there’s going to be some spectacular sh!t going down, guaransheed.

Friday, January 28th: Magic @ Bulls, 8:00 ET, SUN CSCH

An Eastern Conference heavyweight battle.  The Bulls actually have a better record than the Magic as I type this.  Who’da thunk it?  (I think that’s an old Maine saying… sorry if it doesn’t make sense to you, but I say that sh!t all the time).  Consider all the injury problems the Bulls have had… yeah, D-Rose is my MVP right now.  He’s gotta be.

Saturday, January 29th: Bobcats @ Clippers, 10:30 ET, SS FSPT

Is KWAMAY Brown the black Mozgov?  We’ll find out.  Nazr Mohammed could also be in danger.  I foresee a huge night for Blake… who the hell does Charlotte have to throw at the guy?  Kwame’s a pretty good defender, but Blake’s far too quick for him.  Gerald Wallace is way too small.  Boris Diaw?  ROFLMAO.

Sunday, January 30th: Celtics @ Lakers, 3:30 ET, ABC

Whatever credibility this blog has built up since October 26th would instantly be destroyed if I chose any other game.  Good thing the Clippers don’t play… when I said no exceptions, I meant business.
